This is my second time staying at this location. I chose this location as a go between for a weekend at Boston. Having stayed at the location before, I expected it to be good. No surprises here, the consistency of service and professionalism is maintained. While it's not to be compared with a higher end Sheraton in the city, or a resort at a tourist location, it is most definitely a comfortable stay. Upon arrival, I was informed that I had been upgraded to a club room. I asked about a suite just because I had not seen one at this location. The front desk immediately stated they could look into it, I politely declined rather than cause trouble as I was only staying one night.
The room was as comfortable and cozy as it was last time. The bathroom was sizeable with the usual fixings for a Sheraton bathroom. Pillows and bed were soft enough for a great restful sleep. I rarely sleep through the night without waking once, broke the mold here. Interestingly enough the room lacked a refrigerator, I probably could have asked for one, but I've been to a few where the refrigerator was a standard. Not a deal breaker just an observation.
Where this hotel shines is it's pool and hot tub. Set up with mood lighting, the pool was warm and clean. The hot tub ran into a minor hiccup where a switch popped in the back and could only be reset by maintenance, which they sent promptly when we called. Once fixed, it was hot and soothing.
The Sheraton club at this location is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is actually relatively complete with scrambled eggs, sausage, and oatmeal as the hot foods. The rest is standard continental fair, but they have great fresh fruit as well, my wife was very happy with the large and sweet blueberries.
All in all, the hotel hasn't changed since I visited last summer, but in a way that is great. Their quality and commitment to a great hotel is noted and appreciated by this particular traveler. Keep at it guys, I can't wait to return to your hotel.
